when a little money becomes available i'm going to try a pair of nht sb-3's. my listening room is 10x12 and the klipsch really don't have room to breath. it seems like i can't listen as long as i'd like to. don't know if it's my system or my adhd kicking in. i think my sources are okay, still love enjoying music more than fretting about gear. although, the more i am on this site the more i fret. are there any stands anyone might reccomend for the nht's? thanks for taking a look.
I have Forte I and agree they need a larger room for the sound to develop before reaching your ears. With the wrong amplification than can sound bright but I didn't find that the case w/ my NAD receiver.
What preamp are you using? My listening room is same dimension and I was using a pair of SB-3s for a few months. Recently bought a pair of Vandersteen 1Cs used on Audiogon and couldn't be more pleased. I was concerned about the size but the footprint is similar after stands are figured in. Good luck.
