Audio Alchemy, Oppo 105 (modified LPM), EVS 1200 amp, Emerald Physics 3.4s DPA-1 + PS 5, 105 has upgradd IEC, 110/220 jumper and Linera Power Module, EVS is based on ICe Power AS1200 modules
Many years have gone into putting together a complimentary system. It is anchored by 20 amp dedicate lined + Core Power 1800
You can change your system and even fill in the equipment list so you can comment on each component, by going to your profile > click on actions on your system > click on edit.
BTW, what are your vertical tubular diffusion panels and who makes them?
Unfortunately, I do not see how to change my listed components. I no longer have the Oppo 105, which I replaced with a Audiolab CDT 6000 (amazing value, especially with upgraded coax and PC), In addition to the EVS1200, I have a LSA Voyager 350 GaN amp. Unfortunately, had an issuewith it when I took all the equipment out of the vertical rack. I would love to hear it now, but the EVS 1200 is truly amazing
I think I neglected to mention one of the least expensive, yet extremely beneficial tweaks - Mad Scientist Graphene Contact Enhancer, which seems to me to be identical to a similar product that sells for absurd money. FYI: they have state side distribution. I found the improvement immediate, but will sound even better in a couple days. If you buy it, make sure you follow the instructions!
For those who are on a tight budget, the cables on Ali-Express can represent system changing value AT ABSURDLY AFFORDABLE PRICES. I took the lead from a Forum talking about Counterfeit Chinese Cables, specifically Nordost Odin knock-offs, I started with Odin 2s; a coax cable, then XLR, then 2 PCs, and finally speaker cables. I then tried a Odin 2 GOLD, and have been replacing all the silver Odins with the Golds. FYI if you go there and subscribe, then save cables you are interested in, over time you will get emails with price reductions. I primarily buy from DIY HiFi, but they don't have everything. FYI: shipping to Ft Lauderdale takes about 3 weeks. The next huge upgrade I made was...
I replaced my Solid State vertical rack (even though I had maple cutting boards for shelfs and iso/vib devices under/over the boards) paid huge dividends when I went horizontal with the score of the century (aside from Ali-E purchases) I found a solid maple table LOCALLY that is 5 x 2 x 2" FOR $200!!!. Maybe it was the vertical rack was messing with the back wave of my OB speakers more than I realized, OR MAYBE the solid steel rack was the weak link.
The subs and the Oppo 105 are gone. Very happy with my Audiolab 6000CDT played through my Audio Alchemy DDP-1(dac/pre) + PS 5. The dac is really good. Speakers are much closer together. Virtually all cabling has been upgraded with Ali-Express Nordost Odin 2 knockoffs, a huge improvement over some fairly expensive Wire World cables, and boutique power cords
Thanks. System is almost 100% different. Only items left are the Core Power 1800 conditioner and the Audio Alchemy DDP-1 + PS 5
Once you have them where you want, then remove dollys, or not. I replaced the KCIIs with EP 3.4s, and sold the subs
The most recent and BIGGEST bang for the $$$ is getting Graphene Contact Enhancer (Mad Scientist Audio) $75 for a 2 oz bottle that should last for many upgrades
They are open baffle, no longer made, but if you do a search you might find images of them or similar models for sale
Very efficient ~ 99 dB. They throw a fantastic sound stage and IMHO, are much better speakers than my maggie 3.5Rs to which I did almost everything at them to improve on their weaknesses
