This is my setup in my high rise condo. I would love to have a dedicated listening room that has been treated as I do have to contend with high ceilings and entire floor to ceiling glass doors, but it still sounds great considering the Acoustic draw backs.
Thank you for your nice comments Orfeo. I looked up the Harbeths and I’m sure they are stellar. I’m one of those folks who have brand loyalty if I like the synergy between my amp and speakers. I still have and use my three year old Bowers 705 S2’s as well as the 805’s shown. If I upgrade it’s probably going to be a newer set of 805 S3’s since the S4’s are to be announced next month, or I might go with a set 702 towers. I have owned other brands of speakers from Magnepans to Monitor Audio and I always go back to Bowers as I just love their sound. Thanks again
Don't regret the dedicated room, which moves music away from the place you live (your *living* room). I have a dedicated room... Sometimes I miss the music in my living room.
High ceilings are fine. And you have records in the back, the act as diffusers. Maybe some absorption behind your head.
One thing you can consider is window thick velvet curtains that you shut in the evening.

like the B&W 805S very much. If you like acoustic music, maybe a nice
upgrade would be the Harbeth M30.2 Anniversary, or M30.2XD. They look
seventies; would suit very well to you interior design. Their timbres
are outstanding.
