Description

Step by step. Love what the Townshend isolation on both the speakers and TT has done to enhance the detail and soundstage. Recently added the Decware Phono pre and bass traps to the front wall.

@bdp24 Yes, the crossovers are from ALK (Extreme Slope). Definitely make a big difference.
@dover I currently have the Townsend speaker bars that help with the isolation. Yes, I love the story that Belle wouldn't let his speakers into the house so h developed these "more elegant" speakers. Sorry that they do not sell any longer, I guess with the La Scala design, it seemed like a duplicate.
@tds3371 I love the Crites products, have had several pairs of various Klipsch speakers and used his products. I currently have most of his speakers and crossovers in my KP-301. Placement of the subs will be a challenge, but I think I will give it a try.

I have the exact same speaker setup:  Walnut Klipsch Belles (sans the PWK provenance) on Townshend seismic isolation bars (positioned, like yours, the only way they'll fit!).  However, you've got the much nicer (upgraded) crossovers; I have the Crites "gold"  AB replacements.  Would respectfully disagree with the prior post re: subs.  I've always run a sub with my Belles - and recently upgraded to a pair of Rhythmik F12SE servo subwoofers which, with the crossovers set to ~70Hz, sound very nice (subtle and well-integrated - not at all dominant).  Placement proved to be a little tricky, but you can definitely tell when they're not there.  Just food for thought.  Thanks for sharing!

Lovely room, good LP collection, great equipment. Well done! Have the stock speaker crossovers been modified?

Hi -
With regards to the loose bass, if you put some blocks under the speakers to lift them off the floor, the bass will tighten up.
When the speakers are on the floor directly, the bass couples to the floor.
I wouldn't bother with subwoofers.
By the way the Belles are named after PK's wife, so given that these were originally a gift from PK they have history.
