Not the final location for the set-up, the room it will be in is under construction.
802's are on order, using a pair of 703's until they come in.
I haven't decided on the interconnects, although I have a RCA Audioquest Jaguar and some Audioquest Diamondbacks to use initially. I can exchange the Jaguar towards a balanced Panther or Cheetah, and I am leaning towards going Cheetah for the CDP to pre and pre to amp, and Panther or Jaguar from the tuner.
For stands I like the Solid Tech stands, but I also kind of like the idea of something with a little more coverage to control dust. My Fiance wants me to get something with a door and just open the door whenever we have the system on. I don't think that is going to work so well. For now we are using an old Sanus Foundations rack until we make a decision.
The RA-1220 I am planning to add later, after I keep an eye on just how much the voltage fluctuates to see if it is really necessary. We have frequent brown-outs, so that would be my primary reason for going with the RA. For surge protection I am using an Isobar Ultra Copy 20 amp unit, and I have to install a 20 amp recep before I can plug it in, looking for a local source for a good hospital grade.
Since this is a temp. location, the sputnik looking device is a home built antenna since the signal from the outdoor antenna is running into the new room.
The 143lb. woofer is named Hammerli, although we call him Hammer for short.
He's actually an Alaskan Malamute, but I see that the camera flash does make his brown eyes look like they might be blue. I am hoping that I can design the home theater to be adequate for 2 channel. I just can't see trying to fit this system into the room. I use my gear so infrequently that I am not having any trouble parting with it.
I love Siberian Huskies! It's too bad you're doing away with your two channel. Perhaps you can down size it a bit and still have a decent two channel to enjoy your music with.
System edited: 802's have arrived! Wow, they are beautiful, and sound much greater extension in the bass than the 703's. Unfortunately(for the system), we've bought a new house, and I'm selling off this 2-channel system. I can't justify to the other half a new dedicated home theater and a new 2 channel room.
S7horton, although I have never seen the S800s, I love the red birds eye finish I have seen on some S805s. I can only imagine the more expansive cabinet with that awesome wood, especially with the leather and the silver Aluminum on the plinth. I am not sure my room or amp is big enough for the 800's, but I do like the way they look.
Wow, looks like a system right from my local dealer. They happen to carry every piece of your system. B&W and Classe seem to be one of those great synergy systems. I bet you'll love it for years to come. Your next upgrade will have to be to the Signature 800's. :)
