    • NAD C521BEE
As an excellent example of Bjorn Erik Edvardsen’s* “10/10 Rule”, we have added Erik’s initials to our “Best Buy” CD Player, the C521. Erik’s 10/10
Rule states that the ideal for high value products is achieved when it costs 10 times more money to get only a 10% increase in performance. While some
people will gladly spend to get that last gram of musical pleasure, for the vast majority of music lovers the C521BEE offers that sweet spot where spending
less gets a little less, and spending more gets only a small incremental improvement.
    • Margules ACRH-1.2
It is well known that a good preamplifier is the heart of an audio system. With this in mind, Margules Audio has undertaken the task of developing an integrated amplifier that blends an extraordinary tube preamplifier with an excellent solid-state power amplifier.

One of this design’s innovations is its flexibility, allowing the end users the ability to upgrade and/or customize their system based on their changing audio needs. It also affords the additional advantage of not limiting options or becoming outdated in configuring your system as your audio needs become more demanding.

In some instances, the owner of an ACRH-1.2 may want to upgrade their system by adding a high quality tube amplifier. In this instance, the internal power amplifiers of the ACRH-1.2 can still be used in conjunction with either the preamplifier section or an external remote unit such as a dolby/AC3 processor,multi-room control device, active crossover for subwoofers or other add-on components. This gives the owner the ability to drive another set of full range speakers in another room, rear surround speakers, or subwoofers as well as any number of configurations one can think of. It is also possible to effect a power upgrade to a quad power unit that, when connected, will convert the unit from 90W/channel to 260W/channel (using a special Magenta bridging add-on).

    Preamplifier

The preamplifier section of the unit is based on two dual triodes (12AU7) per side that act as unity gain buffers coupling the source and the power amplifier. The circuit is based on the knowledge and experience acquired in developing the highly acclaimed Margules SF220 line stage.

The power supply of the preamplifier is fully regulated. Good power regulation reduces the loss of signal integrity that occurs when the signal itself shifts the preamplifier's operating point. The filament supply is to regulated.

    Amplifier

The topology of this discrete semiconductor power amplifier is laid out in such a way that all coupling is direct, avoiding interstage capacitors that, in most cases, result in higher distortion and inferior sound.

The output stage is designed with a proprietary circuit bias. This optimizes the operating point of the semiconductors so as to avoid the typical overheating found in other Class A designs while at the same time avoiding the pitfalls of Class B distortion.
    • B&W DM-602 s3
This is the largest of the bookshelf / stand-mount models in the range. Although similar in concept to the DM601 S3, the DM602 S3 enjoys the benefits of a larger cabinet and a 180mm (7-in) woven Kevlar® cone bass / midrange driver to give a more extended bass response and higher output capability. It is therefore the bookshelf solution for medium size rooms.
The outer layer of the double skinned baffle construction is moulded from mica-filled polypropylene – strong yet well damped acoustically. The profile is attractively contoured, the rounded vertical edges reducing diffraction – the secondary radiation of sound from sharp edges that can time-smear the clarity of fine detail in the signal.
    • Kimber PBJ
Tri-braid field geometry, Varistrand™, Hyper-pure copper conductors and extruded Teflon® dielectric. PBJ has become a classic with performance that continues to be unmatched by competing cables. Tonally balanced with clear, articulate highs, accurate midrange, tight extended bass, and three dimensional soundstaging are common descriptions echoed by surprised reviewers and satisfied customers. PBJ single-ended features our Ultraplate™ RCA type connector.
    • Kimber 4TC
Consisting of eight individual TCSS conductors, four blue and four black that utilize our proven braiding technique. The insulating dielectric is high pressure-low temperature-extruded Teflon®. The individual conductors are Hyper-pure copper, arranged in proven VariStrand™ conductor geometry. The aggregate wire size is two 13 awg conductors. The focus, transparency, and transient speed of 4TC are stunning. 4TC continues to receive enthusiastic reviews and recommendations from consumers and critics worldwide.
    • Mr-Cable Super Flex
This is a multi-strand 10 gauge plated copper power cord. Each wire consists of 120 strands each. All three wires (live, common and ground) are each 10 gauge. The wall plug is a hospital grade Marinco and the IEC is a Wattgate.

This is not a dull power cord. It has balls to it, but it isn't bright either. Will work great with most all components. This power cord will be at home with your CD player as well as your amp.

Break in time will depend, but will require at least 50 hours. The cord may sound bright at first, but will settle down after burn in. Don't judge on first listening.
    • Margules ADE-24
    ADE-24 Analog/Digital Enhancer
Some listeners feel digital recording is flat and sterile-sounding, lacking the warmth and presence of analog reproduction. For those listeners, Margules Audio has designed the Magenta ADE-24 Analog/Digital Enhancer. Until now, the problems involved in reconstructing the original analog signal from digital samples have been dealt with in the digital domain. This requires complex—and expensive—DSP (digital signal-processing) circuitry. In our research, we found that the basic problems can be solved in the analog domain. The design of the ADE-24 is based on the idea that high-order odd harmonics are generated during the reconstruction of the analog signal. These harmonics falsify instrumental timbre, and create a bright, hard, or harsh sound. We designed a circuit with the reverse transfer function, to remove these unwanted harmonics and more-closely approximate the original signal. Implementing this design would normally require integrated circuits (with less-than-perfect sound quality), or costly discrete circuits. Our original circuit topology (patent pending) gives outstanding performance at a reasonable price. The ADE-24 is also a buffer. Its low output impedance reduces interaction between the program source and the interconnecting cables. The ADE-24 is connected to the output of any digital audio source:

    · CD
    · DAT
    · Laserdisc
    · D/A converter
    · AC-3 (Dolby Digital) and DTS
    · DSS
    · Computer multimedia

Yeah you can come over, but I live very far from the Yucataaan...

emalvido

I think you should have me visit you in Mexico for a little listening party.

We could spin music together and I could tell you (over a few cold Bohemia's and Tequila), how wonderful your system is :^).

Any chance you live near the Yucatan Peninsula? I've visited that part of Mexico at least 15 times, and it's about time for another visit.

Could the attraction be your wonderful sound system? The beautiful girls in bikinis? The perfect weather and ocean? The beautiful scenery, wild animals and plants? The local food?

Or maybe all of those things.
