I love and listen to music. I suspect I could spend more time with speaker placement and room treatment to improve the sound. The electronics are likely to be viewed as overkill for the speakers but I love the .7 in my smallish room. I sit on the long wall.
For the really nasty thrift-shop vinyl. Not as easy to use as the ProJect. It is a CHORE. but the results are wonderful.
Pro-Ject Audio Systems VC-S Record Cleaning System
PS Audio P3 Power Plant
Seems to help my system. I would love to try other power systems to see if I notice any improvements.
Pangea Audio Power cables
Various models used throughout the system. If I get the energy I'll look them up later...
Symposium Acoustics Segue ISO
Isolation base for the turntable. Honestly, I cannot say I've noticed much improvement with this component. I still get footfalls and occasional thumps from vibrations around the room. Looking for upgrade ideas here...
VPI Industries Analog Drive System (ADS)
Peace of mind for the obsessive and very convenient speed changes.
VPI Industries Prime Signature
I wish I had gone with the rosewood, but the black is nice too!
Soundsmith Zephyr MIMC Star
Peter's wonderful moving iron cartridge. A nearly perfect marriage with the JC3+ preamp.
Parasound Halo JC-3+
Although I have not tried the mega-buck phono preamps in my system, I cannot imagine getting even better sound than this from my vinyl with any other phono preamp.
AudioQuest Columbia
All XLR Interconnects between the DAC and phono-preamp and Ayre preamp and between the Ayre preamp and amp.
RCA into phono-preamp.
PS Audio DirectStream DAC
Running Windom OS. Upgraded from DirectStream DAC Jr., in which I found subtle but important improvements.
AudioQuest Rocket 88
Speaker Cables
Ayre Acoustics K-5xe MP
Fully balanced preamplifier with unusual input selection, but built like a tank.
Ayre Acoustics V-5xe
I love the Ayre house sound, and this amp is wonderful.
REL T5i
A stereo pair to augment the Magnepan's limited low-end extension.
