Adventure continues after long hiatus...,😄,, Some closeup pics of my new setup,I heard Totem speakers but never had chance to listen before, I would have lied if I have said I bought those speakers after demo or something but honestly I bought without any listening. The first Totem I heard those the one I bought😄 Actually I was done with setups High End so ever, due Corona lock down, I had to revise my decisions. Here is the result of my modest , humble selections, time constraint was limiting factor. Whatever you saw here never heard or tested before, it is blind luck, like corona outbreak, sometimes life puts you into unexpected situations, this is a good sample. How does it sound? Well, almost 30 years of experience in sound reinforcement and High End systems have taught me a few lessons. There were a few equipments that I took notes in past but had no chance to put them into action, now, I only buy the ones which never tested or bought before, like Chord, Totem. Only link to past is Shunyata Cables where used in past and now but up to date models. (Entire Cabling is Shunyata Delta) I’m done for now , maybe only a Hydra Conditioning will take place and alpha series xlr interconnect, but not in soon future. By the way Vince Bruzzese You have made damn excellent speakers, I need to credit this, it is good as spoken, hats off 👍🙏
hey jond, it is true, I put everything together since lockdown, April. I completed the entire setup 3 days ago , I had some concept setups after having retired from ultra end, lets say, all italian, japanese, english,French , unfortunately I was laying low and not interested with critic listening again. Covid lockdown forced me to return back and speed up a bit. I don't have space for stand and everything will stay as is, no intention for limiting my living room or stand where I put all the gear together. there will be speaker change later and subwoofers, active crossovers when I buy Magico A1 or wilson Duette Series 2, thats it. I only buy what previously never bought after retirement, Chord and Totem are examples, I think I will buy Magico based on same approach.
Mert are you saying you've pulled this whole system together since the pandemic started? If so I am truly amazed! Some really nice gear I've never heard Chord but read so many good things about them. And those Totems are classics I bet it all sounds great together. Any thought to maybe getting the Mani-2's up on stands and further away from the back wall?
