The HT set-up is a 5.1.4 array with a Klipsch 12" sub. The 11-channel Anthem pre/pros everything, including a Zone 2 in the kitchen. The Mc power amps the three SF speakers (LCR) and the four Martin-Logans in the ceiling, while the Emotiva amps the surrounds, a job for which the Snells are decidedly overqualified. The system is primarily video-oriented, but when switched to two-channel, or the occasional 5.1-channel SACD, remains an excellent music-maker. A few years ago, I decided to re-do the living room, installing a rather elaborate hand-made, stain-grade coffered ceiling. That provided a perfect opportunity to run the speaker cables for the surrounds and Atmos speakers through the walls and ceiling, so nothing's exposed.
"Movie Night" featuring a Blu-Ray with a well-executed sound track (Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, DTS HD Master Audio) is a ton o' fun. The video display is fantastic (Sony outdid themselves) and the sound is simply phenomenal. Yes, I am well-pleased.
