I purchased the Apogees in 1991. I started with a Forte power amp, preamp and DAC and Marantz CD player. Had a Sony SCD-1 for awhile. Upgraded to a Proceed PRE and Proceed CDP along with adding the Paradigm subs. Then switched to a pair of Bel Canto Evo 200-2 connected as monoblocks; and then to Bel Canto REF 1000 monoblocks.  

Currently system is comprised of BAT VK-42se preamp, powered by BAT VK-250 power amp. Audio-Technica TT with Grado Reference MM cartridge and Marantz SA 15S1 SACD  player. The Apogees have always been the base to build around.
