pdreher December 06, 2017 03:01 - Hey Paul - my favorite of everything is the Bricasti M1 DAC. It is great because they don't come out with new models every few years but rather they come out with great upgrades which makes the model better for the OEM to sell more and we owners can upgrade without having to buy a new model - Bricasti IMO is the best company out there in the high end. I have since upgraded to the SE model and just had the Network player installed and it great.
Best bang for buck is Rethm Saadhana V3 Speakers - other than my Magico's and my Bricasti they are the best I have ever owned. They are incredible speakers. Actually in some ways better than my Magico's. Better than Wilson. Kharma, Sonus Faber, Focul and they blew the others away. Such an amazing speaker. I was on a long preamp search and tried many great, Manley Steelhead, BAT, VAC, ARC, CJ and my Mark Levinson No326s is the best I have ever owned. I think I am very lucky because I current own the best DAC I have ever owned, pre, speakers and cables.
Very impressive collection. I'd be interested to know which speakers, amps, preamps and digital sources have stood out to you either from an overall performance standpoint or outstanding value/bang for the buck.
