Wow. Powerful and elegant setup. Curious if you purchased system at HiFi Buys in ATL. They are my dealer. Philosophy of your setup is similar to their approach. Cheers!

bosssound

Wow, that must sound incredible!

Thanks @milpai

About 3.6M X 5.4M

Diffusers sold, new room sounds much better than the old room.

Yes, love the Apple as well! :D

darthlaker

Awesome system and room!  Where did you get the video game table?

bigamp

Nice room darthlaker! How big is this new room? What about the Furutech diffusers? Still using them?
I like the Green apple.

Sorry, been away from here a long time!

Moved house and now have my own dedicated listening room which sounds considerably better.

Have done some more upgrading as well.

No more upgrades though! :D

Hope you enjoy the pics taken by a friend of mine.

Terrific system that is very similar to mine. I have the 7s driven by Aesthetix Atlas Eclipse mono blocs (High pass filter built in the Atlas with upgraded stealth-caps) Basis Debut (fully loaded) table with Basis Super Arm 9 and Lyra Etna. Wire is AQ Everest (bi-wired) and AQ Wild Blue IC plus Kubala Sosna power. No room conditioning except for records that surround the room. No digital. I have been a classical and jazz record collector for over 40 years. Finally, I have dedicated power to the room from the main box taped into prior to the meter to a sub panel outside the listening room. All components have their own circuit. It would be fun comparing notes with you. Congratulations on a truly great system.

chargerfan

Amazing and beautiful system....is this still the setup and component list or have you made any changes? It must sound amazing given the combination of great you've put together!

zephyr24069

Beautiful system. Question: what was the thought process behind using SRA for the amp stands and Solid Tech for the rack? I'm in the throes of deciding what rack manufacturer to choose.

Thanks Knghifi.

Unfortunately I have no room to move the racks elsewhere in the room.

I can imagine this would provide an improvement in sound though.

darthlaker

Darthlaker, very nice system. Have you tried moving the racks to the side from between the speakers?

Milpai,

Yes, Furutech make diffusers - I am pretty sure they are manufactured in Japan.

I recently had the firmware upgrade to send DSD files to the Puccini player through Channel D software.

I downloaded some free tracks from Blue Coast Records site and they sound fantastic!

Have not had time to download the same music vs the SACD yet to do a comparison. I will let you know when I have done it. Should be fun!

darthlaker

I did not know that Furutech made diffusers.
Do you send DSD files to the Puccini player through the Channel D software? If "yes", I would like to hear your thoughts on how the same music sounds on SACD disc Vs DSD version.

milpai

Owner
Thanks Milpai.

I have 2 Furutech diffusers placed on the side walls which didn't make it in the pictures.

I also have my Thiel rear speakers in the upper corners of the rear wall with some CD cabinets on both side walls at the back of room as well.

The room has an large open doorway at the rear and also a smaller one on one side. Carpet is on most of the floor.

This all helps.

The bass from the Vandersteen Sevens can be tuned to any room and this was done with excellent results.

darthlaker

That is some "heavy weight" system!
Have you thought about room treatments? Looks like your setup is in a dedicated room. I envy your components :-)
