Very small room but nice acoustics with fabric and batting behind recessed wall panels. Passes the WAF (wife acceptance factor). Detailed and airy with good soundstaging. I am happy with the sound especially considering my in relative terms, somewhat modest budget. Separate home theater system with Triad speakers behind fabric and Dennon receiver, 2 Polk subs in floor, Sony XBR 85". I never had a dedicated media room before and I am in heaven. Easily my favorite room in the house and just completed it.
Masterful work, especially in such a limited space. I really like the panelled effect you have created by framing the fabric wall panels. Really looks like it sounds great in there. Salut
Well Done! You made more of that space that would have appeared possible. The room is beautiful and the system is as well thought out as any I have ever seen!
I designed, made and wrapped the panels myself with batting and fabric. There are also front, rear, center, and surround triad speakers hidden under them for a stealthy look. The home theater system is completely separate from the hifi set up resulting in twice the enjoyment!
The MC 152 easily drives the Sonus Fabers well. Independent testing has hown over 230 wpc into 4 or 8 ohms. More than enough power. If you are interested, I am ordering a set of Wilson Audio speakers tomorrow and will be selling the Veneres so if you or anyone else are interested, please message me. They are in perfect condition with inner and outer boxes/manuals etc...
I have the McIntosh MC152 too and considering to upgrade the speakers to something in the level of yours, The MC152 has enuogh power to move your speakers properly ?
