Description

Well this is my budget system. I live in an apartment, with limited space, and I wanted something mainly for music. I upgraded the tubes in the pre/amp section of the Bada to GE 6189's.Placed a Grant Fidelity B-283 tube buffer between the Emotiva ERC-1 CD player and the Bada. I upgraded the tubes in the B-283 also, and the sound is unbeliveable at times it's so right. I've thought about upgrading the baby maggies to QR 12's or 1.7's, but they really seem to work well with the equipment and the space. Maybe at some point I might go up another level to the Bada Purer 3.8 Hybrid Amp. I'll keep thinking on it. but right now I really can't justify any changes. I will add pics when I get a camera.

Thanks Jaxwired,

I have good neighbors who enjoy music they often come over to listen. It's really nice when they tell me they are really hearing the music, songs they know really well, for the first time... Your system really looks good. Nice clean set up. Well done back at you.

Nice setup for an apartment. The MMG's give you bags of detail but skip the deep bass. That's perfect for someone sharing walls with neighbors. I also think tubes are a good idea for the Maggies if you can find enough grunt. Well done, look forward to seeing the pics!
