This is my current setup for vinyl playback. The Manley Labs provides a microscope for the ear while the SS McIntosh provides the muscle that the Dynaudio Contour's really need. This system sounds powerful, detailed, beautiful, dynamic and lots of rhythmic drive.
Double balanced push-pull, 350w x 2. 0 distortion!
Manley Laboratories Jumbo Shrimp, Chinook
The Jumbo Shrimp with the Chinook phono pre, is a combination that injects a rich organic presentation that is dripping with substance and beauty. Air and space around all instruments with incredible rise and decay. It puts you AT the event whether live or studio!
Project Audio Xtension 10
Heavy mass design, 10
REL B2 Brittania
10" Subwoofer with forward firing driver and 500 watt built in amp.
Dynaudio Contour 3.0
Natural cherry finish has darkened very well over the last 12 years. These speakers are built like tanks.
Salamander Designs 5 shelf
Dynaudio Contour 3.0
Natural cherry wood has darkened over the 12 years I have owned them. They are really beautiful speakers to look at.
REL Acoustics Britiania 2
10" sub that connect directly to my stereo amplifier for seamless integration.
Nice system Matt! Perfect way to anchor the system with McIntosh. Like the way you've suspended the cables. I'm sure it sounds great. Hardly no cables too with just vinyl. Good job!
Love it! My set-up is a bit more modest, but I do use the same Clearaudio Maestro v2. Probably one of the best MM's out there. Looks like you can concentrate on enjoying it for awhile; a system like that might be the right vaccine against the up-grade bug! Well done.
For some reason the audiogon system builder will not let me edit and I wanted to add the speakers and some more pics. The speakers are Dynaudio and the sub is a REL B2.
Very much my type of system. I am currently out of town and bought as new tablet for work. I will be posting mine soon when work is over. This is a beast of a good sounding system I know. Love it. I am running dual Musical fir Musical Fidelity Amps, Speakers by E.C.S, Marantz Sacd, still adding.
Nice rig, Matt. Straightforward. Just the way I like it, too. Now if only I can get some pics of my system posted Got to finish the damn mantles and floor first. Maybe next year.
