See below my components. (The pictures of the whole system have been taken before the correct placement of the speakers. Don't think they are stuck onto the walls.
Will apreciate any comment being aware that I am far from the perfection.
I uploaded some pictures with my signed autographs - the walls in my listening room are covered with these autographs.
The site doesn't allow me to add my headphones. They are Stax SRD 40 with Adaptor SRD 4. Pls. see the link http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/stax-sr40-earspeakers-with-srd-141291
Beautiful sound with deep bass. It helps me to hear musical details I haven't heard before. My philosophy is
Project Audio Pro Ject RPM 1,3 Genie
Recently upgraded the cartridge from Ortofon 2M Red to 2M Bronze. A dust cover came as an upgrade. I am using a stand and a clamp for better stability and a DIY record cleaner.
Ortofon 2m Bronze
Better than the Red.
Hafler DH-110
Probably the weakest leak in the system. It is heavily modded and thisi is why I ma still keeping it. Thanx to the higher sensitivity of the speakers (96 dB) the sound is loud enough at 8 o'clock (9 o'clock for the turntable).
Hafler DH-160
I am using it only with my Stax headphones. (See below)
Audio Note UK P Zero
Beautiful tube monoblocks delivering 8 Watts in a Push-Pull regime.
Von Schweikert Audio VR-6
My addiction to large speakers is satisfied. They go linear deep down to 20 Hz.
Aural Thrill Audio Silver Bride
Pure Silver Cable
Analysis Plus Oval 9
One of the best speaker cables I have ever had. Don't intend to upgrade. Perhaps 7 pounds heavy (for the pair of 100 inches).
I had another upgrade bug. The new phono cartridge is Koetsu Black. It needed a bigger counterweight. A smoother and more balanced sound. More analog. Bought a pair of Nordost Red Down for connecting the turntable to the preamp.
I upgraded the preamplifier to a Stereophile Class A recommended Conrad Johnson Premier LS 17. More transparent and detailed. No change in the low octave.
