Moving closer and closer to what I like with my system changes. I'm using a Marantz SA-8001 as a transport to my MF Tri-Vista 21 DAC. Also acquired a CJ pv-14ls2 preamp. Beautiful sounding system. Very smooth, dynamic, and just down right musical.
System edited: added a vh audio flavor 2 power cord to preamp. This power cord made a huge difference. Balanced my system out perfectly. Changed it from a fairly forward system to a very detailed system but no fatigue in listening. Love it.
System edited: New updates as of September 1st. New McCormack DNA 0.5 amp with the SMc revision B upgrade. New Parasound P3 preamp and a Bel Canto Design DAC 2.
Made some big changes as of late. New McCormack DNA 0.5 SMc revision B power amp. Bel Canto Design DAC 2 and a Parasound P3 preamp. With the recent changes my system went from a warm laid back system to a more forward presentation. Very dynamic and articulate, less forgiving too. However, with good recordings the reward was immense as it brought a new level to my system.
System edited: 2/27/10 drove to Detroit and picked up my new speakers, Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7u's. This is probably one of the best decisions I've made in my system.
