Jazzkid,I`ve own the Spica Angelus, Totem Model one, and the Harmonic Precision Echelon(15 years!). I`ve had the Coincident speakers for the past 2 years, these are fanstastic with the SET Frankenstein amps. My current system really brings my jazz to life. Happy Listening,
Greetings Charles , well my system has changed again.I have the Emotiva XPA-1 mono blocks now and I moved into an apartment.I have a sony Sacd now so thats my source the Carver is the pre .The legacy Focus are favorites they really sound great. Thanks for the compliments. What other speakers have you had ?
Hi, Jazzkid, I`m a lover of jazz as well. What`s your best system setup when you`re into serious listening mode? I like the family pictures, you must be proud.
It looks like you have enough equipment to put together several systems. I agree the Sunfire equipment, the amplifiers more to the point are world class. I have run amplifiers from Aragon, Acurus, Classe, Krell and many others and would agree 100% that Sunfire amplifiers offer the largest return for the $$$, almost no heat, no heat sinks, endless amounts of power, tracking downconvertor, and a true OHM's law experience of double the power as impedance halves. I would stack the Sunfire amplifiers against pretty much anything out there.
. I'm a Carver fan also. I currently own 5 pairs of Silver 9t monoblocks, two Sunfire Signature amps, two TFM 42 amps, C-16 preamp, C-19 tube preamp and a Sunfire Theater Grand processor.
I've never tried their speakers.
....ok, maybe I'm a Carver fanatic....great bang-for-buck stuff. .
