Congratulations - nice system. As for the DA88 I think it will be a great move. I like Dynaudio as well but a pair of Guarneri Homage or Mementos could also become a nice option for you.
System edited: Just changed the Nordost Heimdall interconnects for the Cardas Golden Reference interconnects. Result: the same amount of detail, but a lot more warmth, soundstage and tonal colour.
Thanks for your kind words Pdreher! Indeed the Confidences are demanding. The impedance never drops below 4 Ohms, but they are only 85 dB / 1 watt. The Accuphase delivers about 200 watts / 8 Ohms, and 300 watts / 4 Ohms, so no problems there. I'm sure an even bigger amplifier would do even better, but I also think about the Jadis DA88S integrated (2 x 60 watt Class A tube power) to smooth the sound.
