I was going to say I was done, but I say that every month or so. I have become a tube roller, and I have put away lots of tubes, Amperex/Siemens from the 60's. I sold my power cables, expensive interconnects etc. I only believe in expensive cables in solid state gear(as a tweak), I bought some cheap(14 ga) $10ea cables on E-bay last year. The system sounded lots better with them! The fancy 350ea cables ruined the microdynamics of the system, I will not mention which ones as they are very popular. No shouting matches for me please.....Next upgrade- the anti-cables....The speakers will never be replaced unless my aussies take out a woofer. It would cost me 10X to replace speakers of this quality...I have really soured on new speakers....I would suggest to anyone looking for upgrade's to look at older AR,Allison, Snell, KLH stuff. I took my speakers to a hi-end dealer in town to settle a bet. The only speakers I liked as much were the new BW's with the diamond tweeter, even though mine were much smoother, newer is not necessarily better! However, the tweeter was up there with the very best I have heard! We all agreed nothing else came close.I would list, but people do not want to hear they spent 15k for crap! I won 100 bucks, it should pay for two chiropractor visits.... The speakers are 54" high and weigh 115 lbs each. I however, weigh more! Two channel audio (in my opinion) has suffered a lot since Home Theater became popular, most cannot even play organ music at all........Now it is all about profit, this is why some of these old brands are often better than new versions. I should mention all components are used.....except for tv, cables and most of my NOS tubes....Has anybody out there heard these speakers before? I took a real leap buying them, they are the last line of AR's made in New England. Real Walnut....Accurate, but smooth sounding..
Serviced with a new transport, and 3 six packs of Amperex and Siemens tubes. The good ones, 1960's.
Van Alstine Hybird T7 SLR
Hybrid pre-amp-Very neutral with the right NOS tubes-Exceptional build quality
Acoustic Research Classic 30
I just bought these on E-Bay for 1300 incl. ship..One of the finest speakers I have ever heard regardless of price...These opened my eyes about audio- New is mostly inferior, I had no idea!!! Very rare, and impossible to find anymore...I would put these up against anything made, I have allready depressed several friends.....Very accurate, extremely well made....WOW!!!
home made who knows
3 solid silver 18ga-two + 1negative-Very nice
DH Labs Q-10
Quick, and handles the microdynamics of my amp. I am into detail, these are very good at this....
Akai Akai -2600 classic tuner
5 gang tuner-Very nice, but living in Sacramento, a tuner is not as important as say N.Y. If we have two good stations at a time, it is a good year.
salamander who knows.....
The only answer for a Class A amp, A BAT cd player with 6 tubes-and a pre-amp with two tubes-All perforated metal including the front and sides-I leave the back open instead of plastic covers that break your interconnects...On wheels so my 43

it is a tv, HD is nice, but I listen to music a lot more than tv, still I bought it on Internet years ago....No taxes!!!

Little squishy things, I use them under everything, including speakers (with spikes). I will not include a picture....
Forte Model 6
Re-biased into a class A. Doubled the original capacitors, what an amp! I paid 1200 including upgrades...It is currently powering the AR speakers with 400+ watts per channel into 4ohms.
