This is my ongoing dedicated 2channel setup ive built in the past yr. It is a very detailed and open system with tremendous dynamic capability. What I love most about the system is the tuning capabilities of the system normally you just have two speakers place them and what you get is what you get. With the RBH speakers design with separate subs allows endless tuning possibilities in conjunction with the Velodyne Subwoofer eq and crossover combination. I have done internal wiring modifications to the RBH towers they now have Kimber 8tc internally to the mids and subs and the smaller 4tc to the tweeters that was significant upgrade over the factory wiring.
Overall Im happy with the system but am always looking to make it better if anyone can think of a product that I can benefit from I would appreciate the tips.
System edited: Ive finally got the power to the subs that I knew they needed. The bass is much tighter as well as much louder and lower too. The Magnum dynalab tuner was a great upgrade over the Hk tuner I had. Much happier with the system now. My next project is upgrading the crossovers in the rbh mid/hi cabinet. Pics and description to come thanks for looking.
The SMS-1 works wonderful compared to the dbx crossover I was using. The only downfall to it is that the outputs are mono but that really didnt affect imaging like I thought it would. The improvement in bass clarity is amazing I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone trying to get the best out of their subs stereo or home theater.
I am thinking about a SMS-1 for my sub. I am currently having trouble integating my sub into two channel playback. How do you like yours? Does it hook up in parallel?
