Nice. I just purchased the X-250 and X-1 preamp and have a Sony SCD-777 ES. I have been playing around with power cables and found that the cheaper AZ tsunami power cord worked great on the Pass amp giving it a more relaxed sound with great details. I want to try the higher priced AZ Gargantua cord (said to have the same properties as the Tsunami) but have not gotten around to the audition yet.

Nice system, I really like the Pass Stuff. If you want a big boost in performance, I would try a different power conditioner. The Powerplant is fine, but the Audio Magic Stealth and Shunyata Hydra are far superior power conditioners. I used to have the powerplant and replaced it with the Stealth, try it and you will be amazed, good luck.

No, I didn't try Harmonic Techs from CD to preamp, I just heard some good reviews about the Golden Ref/Pro-Silway combo and gave it a try. I might try all Pro-silway IIs later.

Great system! Not for the economically challenged! I see you prefer the Cardas over the Harmonic Tech from CD to Preamp. Did this take a lot of testing, trial and error?
