Description

well this is the system i have managed to put together over the last couple years on a serious budget and after trading a couple components.I am pretty happy overall but still feel i can get it much better i think my next component will be a bettet preamp and some better interconnects then turntable upgrades but not for a while the system overall sounds pretty good w well recorded vinyl

but unbearable w/poorer recordings

also the system can be fatiging at times.i will post better pics soon

comments &suggestions welcome!

thanks ,

Analogfreeek, The ONLY preamp that I'd get would be the Supratek Champaign or Chenin. These are the best preamps you can buy for the money that compare with others that cost $10,000 and up. I just added one to my system and Whoooa!,what a difference. It made my Rotel sound retarded. You can buy it directly from Supratek manufacturer in Perth, Australia for $2900, or try to find a used one on line, likely on AudiogoN. I just got mine on AudiogoN. I have a pair of Magneplanar 1.6 speakers and they sound MUCH better than ever. The sound stage is simply astonishing--detailed, crisp, precise, deep and wide. Just amazing!

Nice system, 2 tables is very cool. I wonder where the fatigue is coming from, Vandersteen are not known for that issue.....new pre is probably gonna help.

i like any system with two turntables, and i think you're on-target with plans for a better preamp. good effort!
