I been trying and essembling good value audio for years now and finally came up with this. I have tried everything from B&W, Rotel, Tannoy, JM Lab, Arcam, Musical Fidelity, Naim and lots more. I like both speakers for different reasons so I decided to add a tube pre amp to my Quad 12L Pro's and use my YBA CD Special with them, this will give me a second system for critical listening. I will be ordering my pre this week. I will use the Pioneer dvd player with the Poth Audio DAC since it adds a nice smoothness to the Triangles. So any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Poth Audio Boo Cable
This a shot gunned pair 8 ft long. This cable is constructed in a unique minimalist geometry, which maintains extremely low dielectric absorbtion, high noise rejection, and low impedance throughout the audio band. It is constructed of long grain, high purity, multiply annealed copper, and is a very affordable way to provide a non-intrusive link between your amplifier and speakers. We use top quality direct silver plated spades or bananas with either long grain copper base metal (spade) or beryllium copper (banana). The low mass and high conductivity of these spades and bananas ensures that the terminations do not interfere with the sonic quality. Product Features Long Grain, High Purity Copper Noise rejecting geometry Extremely Low Dielectric Absorbtion Low Resistance and Characteristic impedance High Quality direct-plated termination Antistatic Infused Jacket
Studio Tech 4 shelf rack
Good solid rack for the money.
Poth Audio Boo Cable Jr.
This is the counterpart to the Boo Cable Speaker Cable. It uses an extremely high quality, non resonant litz construction in a noise-rejecting geometry. The copper is the same long grain, high purity copper as used in the speaker cables, but the insulation and suspension scheme is different, to adress the different requirements of an interconnect. The result is a very clean and well balanced cable, with big dyanmics and great bass capable of competing with the very best.We use the incredible Ultimate RCA locking plug, an ultra-premium RCA connector that offers excellent sound quality, the base metal being several times more conductive (it's 99.3% pure copper) than typical brass alloys used in other connectors.Non-resonant litz construction Long grain, high purity copper Low density non-extruded teflon insulationbr Noise rejecting geometry Low dielectric absorbtion
Poth Audio Digital Line Conditioner
Me and Jeff Poth made this Digital Line Conditioner. He did the electronics I did the machining.
Trianglezerius, very nice and simple system indeed. But from my point-of-view the speakers are contrasts. Meaning - I listened to Triangle speakers and found them to be forward. On the other hand the Quads are laidback. Do you use them for different type of music? The YBA must be stunning. How did you like the Roksan over the other amps? Giangtrant's point is nice - "you can put together a hi-fi system without putting your house and your livelihood on the line".
That's a nice set-up you got there. It proves the point that with some research and considerations, you can put together a hi-fi system without putting your house and your livelihood on the line. Kudos to you.
