Description

Since this is a second floor apartment we cant have any real beefy bass. The SC-III's are a great choice because the just stop at like 100hz, the mids are liquid and they extend pretty well.

The Mac gear is very sweet, and the cd player is surprisingly good.

I will get a second 275 and run in mono block mode,

I will replace the cd player at some point.

I will add a turntable in a few years

Your post prompted me to get my SC-IIIs out of the back room. I've always loved their warm midrange and sweet highs. But I can't get them much farther apart than 7' in my place, which always seemed like a crime with these big guys. I should have bought a bigger place.

Nice job working with such a confined space!! These are often the most difficult systems to assemble and be satisfied with. What sort of room treatments are you using?

"stop at like 100hz"

Well, not quite, more like 50 Hz. I also live in a 2nd floor condo, but I gave up on my SC-IIIs because I don't have enough wall space for them. It looks like you have them about 8 feet apart?

I like the idea of putting these on the SubDudes (or are those the Speaker Dudes?) as they do tend to put more energy into the floor than I like.
