I feel like I've been upgrading and mixing and matching forever now. I've been trying to build a system that gives me the energy of live music, and I think I am done for the time being.
I love listening to all types of music, from classical to metal, and this system does it for me. It rocks when I need it to and yet gives me delicate, beautiful melodies at other times.
I live near Jeff also and plan to go the Horning route as funds allow. I have heard the Eufrodites but not the Aristotles. Also love that Raven One TT. Great system you have there!
Lalounger, Very nice system you`ve arranged. Simplicity plus high quality components =natural and life-like sound. That philosophy is what guides my system approach. Shindo /Horning must be a treat.
hi Lalounger, nice system you've assembled... anyway was wondering if you've tried other Shindo amps with your Horning speakers, & if so, what made you decide upon the Montrachet?
I got Havana DAC too and loves it, though i rarely use computer(sony vaio) source which belongs to my wife, though i got CEC 51TL as dedicated transport, a pair of bookshelves Spendor(sp2/3r). I really enjoy the sound now, it's just so organic and gives a tremendous live feel to it. Im wondering if u ever compared hornings to spendor?
Thanks Lapierre, I think they're a great combo as well.
I live in NYC, about 20 blocks from Highwater Sound, so I just gave Jeff Catalano a call. At the time, he did not have the speakers with him, but he referred me to a customer who did. I listened to them and had to have them. Several months later, they are now finally in my apartment!
