This is my family room system. I have upgraded a product every few years since 1986 when I bought my first Ohm speakers with an Onkyo receiver. Presently, I use the Arcam for redbook CDs and DVDs and the Sony for SACDs...they both sound excellent through the Peak/Mac combo. I had a pair of Thiels but then I moved to a new house and the 20 x 20 family room has built-ins that don't allow floorstanders so I auditioned monitos for 2 months. I listened to sonus, mini utopias, verity....the Peaks sound large and wide.....they don't sound like they are sitting on a shelf. I have always had floorstanding speakers so moving to a monitor was tough, but, then I heard the Peaks!
