This is a dedicated 2 channel system . I started my hifi adventure at 18 years old when I purchased a used Labcraft belt drive turntable for 420 , a pair of Wharfedale Linton speakers and a Monarch SA800 20WPC amp , since then I have been steadily upgrading with a couple of backward steps due to hose purchase and other commitments , I have gone through stages where i had complex systems with multiple separate components ( E.G ARC SP10 preamp ,D115 & Threshold amps , Infinity RS1's ) and then rationalised to an integrated with a pair of bookshelf speakers and then back to all separates , but , I'm very happy with this current set up of VPI TNT5 , OPPO bluRay , Unico CD Player , Gryphon Diablo integrated and Wilson Sashas , the orange colour really pops in my room . The top shelf and side drawers were custom made in blackbutt timber by a local cabinet maker . I DO miss my Audio Research tube components but sometimes less is more ... Oh wait , there's a Ref75Se for sale , it would go great with a nice pair of bookshelf speakers in the spare room .....
As a fellow VPI owner, I urge you to upgrade to the 3D printed tonearm. I too have the 12" arm, and I was astonished at the major upgrade provided by the printed arm. It ain't subtle, and I now recommend to friends that they move up to the printed arm before they upgrade their cartridge. Speaking of cartridges, what are you using -- it's not listed.
VPI TNT 6 Turntable , JMW 12 tonearm and Clearaudio Melody cartridge . Same CD player , Cambridge Audio Azur 651 BluRay player , Gryphon Diablo Integrated Amp with Phono module , Wilson Audio Sasha 1's in Aston Martin Karoussel orange , High Fidelity CT1 and CT1E interconnects and CT1E speaker cables .
Chris, I just came across your comments in the longest thread on cables and applaud your patience to explain the benefits of spending a part of a kitchen make over for some magic magnets.
BTW, I used to have ARC until I switched color to CJ
