Sorry.I'm not interested in B&W or Avalon speakers, but in the Dingy. Is it truth you connected your high performance equipment to this venerable boxes? Are them better than contemporanean Lowther or AER, for instance? Thank You.
Hi, I'm agree with you about bass slam of Wilson for example W/P 7 ; in the meantime Wilson speakers will never give to me the medium and the hi frequencies of the Avalon! however in my room the bass of my Eidolon is ok. I hope to try the lamm 1.2 or 2.2 very soon. regards romano
Romano - Eidolons will never give you the bass slam of say Wilson speakers. I have even tried the Krell 700cx, the unquestioned bass champ, but could never get the bass oooomph some other speakers are capable of. Now I use Lamm 1.2 which makes a very synergistic combination with Eidolons (and Opus Ceramique too).
Hi kotaro, I change my speakers . Now I use a pair of Eidolon Diamond and the cardas golden ref. signal and speakers cabes. The bass are better than with the ceramique but the power is low for these speakers . I'm search for a new pair of mono amps like Lamm 1.2 / 2.2 or Tenor 300 hp .
Hi. you need a very revealing speaker to fully benefit from the amazing potential of the Nagar pre-power combo. I´d carefully listen to either Ayon Audio or Lumen White or ACapella Audio Arts.
I like B&W sound very much. However I like also the Avalon . I think that the deep scene of the Avalon's speakers is the characteristic that I love more in these speakers.
hallo Schoon, thanks for compliment. The B&W nautilus 800 is a really good speaker and I prefer use it with the Mark Levinson 331 instead of the Nagra VPA . I whish only more power . If I will find a good deal I will purchase a new power amp like a ML 333 or 434. best regards
hallo Arthursmuck, the 800's is a wonderfull speaker but is too big in my room. So I will try to move the HT set in another big room (if I can do it) and i leave the stereo system there. In the future I will purchase a pair of new speaker for the stereo sys.
