WOW! You definitely are a lucky guy. I really LOVE Audio Note and Kondo stuff and I'm absolutely curious what your system sounds like. Happy listening!
I believe that the speakers shown are an earlier version of the Triolons which were named differently (Celestron). The midrange horn does appear to be bigger, but that is hard to tell. The tip off is the woofer enclosure. If you go to Acapella's website and click on Sondemodelle at he bottom of the page, you will pull up a picture of these speakers.
WOW - love the gear - that TT is a work of art a mechanical wonder - beautiful. Those blue eyed horns are captivating. I am unfamiliar with the gear but I salute you!!
Congratulations. I understand the philosophy behind your system and if I would build one around the speakers you have, I would be tempted to go the same way, even if I would go broke in the process. The only problem I see with your setup is, that there is hardly any room for improvement.
Amazing system. Fred I think these are the Acapella Spharon speakers. These are the first I have seen. I wonder how they compare to our Triolon's. I would be interested in knowing more about this system. I have never seen this turntable either. Any more details??
What combination of Audio Note amp(s) are you using to drive your Acapella Triolons? Assuming that you are using a single Gaku-on, do you find that this limits your dynamics or compromises your bass? Have you tried the Kegon on these speakers? If so, how did it compare to the Gaku-on?
