I like the simple system approach. Nice. Has anyone heard the new Rega speakers like the R7? I heard the R5 model at a dealer and thought they sounded great with the Mira 3 integrated amp and Apollo CDP. I bought the Apollo to replace my Rotel CDP. I am very pleased with the Apollo and want to try new speakers. Considering the R7 (transmission line design) but need to hear from those who own, or at least, auditioned a pair.
Hi Douglas, thank you for your kind words. Speaking about Rega may they are more famous for their sources. So its nearly a year that my Rega Naos are no longer in production, I dont know the current production I only know that they have changed a lot. What I can say about Naos is that they are sweet but not mellow and thankful to their transmission line architecture they have a strong control of bass region ( probably their best feature ), great medium, good treble but not so precisely, in the same class of price I heard something better ( for example ProAc, but ProAc bass went everywhere without control ). I am very happy now with my equipment, in the future I will look forward to change cdp, I will tray to remain in Italy considering Audio Analogue, Lector or Unison, but as you said new Rega cdp is a very good choice . Finally Id like to say that the room where a stereo rigs is placed is the primary piece of equipment. Best Regards Gianluca
