In my townhouse my living room has to do double duty for 2 channel and HT. The layout of the room is not great for acoustics and this is my current challenge. The room dimensions are: 24' long x 12' wide with a 12' ceiling. I really have no choice but to orient the system along the room width. This is further complicated by a fireplace that cuts across one of the corners. This limits my speaker placement options and I think is probably the limiting aspect to my system right now. Maybe I need to call Rieves?
I've tried to optimize the setup for both music and HT. The Theta gear really does do a great job on both.
An original Casablanca with the superior DACs for the fronts and the standard balanced DACs for the rears
McCormack DNA-2 Rev A+
SMC rev A+ I love this Amp!
McCormack DNA-HT1
SMC modded for balanced inputs
Velodyne HGS-15
Very nice sub with quick and accurate response. Works well with both music and film. I had to place the sub towards the rear of the listening area to keep peace with the neighbor
JPS Superconductor 2 Balanced
Balanced run between processor and DNA-2 Very transparent - Highly recommended
JPS Superconductor 2 Digital I/C
Digital Coax between DaViD and Casablanca
JPS Superconductor
Dual bi-wire runs With dual outputs on the DNA-2 and the bi-wire inputs on the Nucleus this was a no-brainer
JPS Power AC and Digital AC
Good P/Cs My friends had great fun over my purchase of $400.00 wire until they listened to them The Digital AC really did lower my noise floor with the Casablanca
ExactPower EP-2000
Very high efficiency power regulator. I live in a townhouse and running didicated AC will be a nightmare so I went with trying to cleanup what I have. Because of this I need a very high efficiency unit
Richard Gray 400s
I have 2 of these and they really do what they say, at least for my system. I guess if you had dedicated AC they might not make as much of a difference as they do for me.
Aurios Pro MIBs
I have sets on my transport, Processor and DNA-2
Black Diamond Racing Cones and Source shelf
I screw the cones into the Aurios MIBs and rest the shelf on the MIBs. Then I have cones between the shelf and the transport.

HI - I owned a pair of Gallos just as the one pictured, very open sounding and very dynamic. Only issue was some midbass "hump" that was hard to control in my room.
I also own a McCormack DNA-2 Rev A and wouldn't trade it for the world(relatively speaking). There appears to be no end in sight as to it's performance limitations.
Great stuff! I love that you have the old Gallo spheres. I used to own the plastic ref's as well. Have owned almost every Gallo product made over the years at one time or another.
You could upgrade the older Ref's to the new Ref III's, awesome speakers, more "place-able" and better looking overall (though not as funky as the eyeballs). Due for the center channel, and I I think you'd be pleased at the even better sound you'd get!
Hi, Nice system. Those Gallo speakers are certainly unique looking. I'm interested in your McCormack DNA-2 Rev A+ amp. You say you love it, tell me more. Also, I'm not familiar with the A+ Revision. What did Steve do on top of his regular Rev. A?
