I have got here after many years of upgrading and changing components.
I listen 2 -3 hours a day and am happy with the sound - a nice compromise between dynamics and transparency. That is until I get one of these upgrade urges...!
The summits are still breaking in and I have not quite got them positioned right yet - but they sound very good.
The room is a good size and shape. I am lucky to have a dedicated room. 2 dedicated 20amp circuits
I listen mostly to blues and rock music -I do like the sound of the guitar - particularly Knopfler and the like. I also have a thing for female vocals.
It makes me wonder how the summits might sound with a tube amp..- darn there I go again..
Thank you for responding. In fact I just came off of the MIT site and somehow you can now buy directly. Anyway on their site they now show DEALER COST ...and it is a total 100% mark up! I have absolutely no problem paying dealers their 40 points in return for the cost of doing business (brick and mortar store) and a good demo. In fact at least in New York and Los Angeles dealers will not entertain taking any products into their store unless they can have a 40% mark up...but 100% read on: My question is what kind of discount did you get (if any) from your dealer on cables? Thanks!
Sincerely, Christopher Frank

Sorry I did not get back to you earlier - I have not been checking the forums.
I had an audioquest Dragon speaker cable which was very good and I also tried nordost red dawn which also was good - very fast but did not quite have the body of the Audioquest.
The MIT took some time to break in but seems to give me a nice combination of sound including body, three dimensions, focus and speed.
I hope this helps - please ask some questions if you want to know anything else
