I have added a Mac Preamp to my system which includes B&W speakers. There is definitely a synergy between B&W and Mac I notices immediately. I will be getting the MC402 soon and I think I will finally be in musical nirvana. Great system!

How's your bass response from N800s. I too have to place my N800s very close to the front wall to get any kind of bass at the expense of the imaging...

System edited: Decision between Monster and Kimber BiFocal is done. Took Monster despite the fact that Kimber's has outstanding quality but Monster gave me the perfect sound for my room.

Great system. I also have the MCD 205, I love it! I never expected CDs to sound so great, they sound like records. I also have the Mc home theater preamp and the 6 channel power amp. (I went from a rotten Denon system, the CD player began malufunctioning a year to the day after purchase, the sound was like tin, not sure why anyone recommends their equipment) Happy listening.
