I wanted a full and natural sounding system for my NYC apartment. I love listening to vinyl. So, here it is. Not too expensive. It does not overload my 15' W x 22' L x 10' H room. My music tastes run the gambit, but I love 40's-60's jazz and jazz vocals. It is one of those systems that you can listen to all day and just enjoy. It gets out of the way of the music.
Wonderful system. Did you ever get a chance to compare the linestage section of the Giscours to any other company's linestage, using your Exemplar Denon as the source? Thanks.
You have some excellent equiptment there. However your best asset is your listening room. How did you find an apartment with a 15' width? Must be very old since most apartments are 12' to match the carpet rolls. If you don't have any acoustic treatement, plasn on getting some along with a area rug. If the apartment is old, try to get the fuses replaced with circuit breakers. One last thing, tell me when you plan on moving out.
Wow, you've got some great equipment there -- congrats! I'm curious what IC's (especially between Garrard and pre) and speaker cables you use.
Also, I noticed you have what looks like a "Mr. T" on the floor there. Have you had a chance to compare it to other power conditioners? What do you use it with? (Btw, how much is it?)
