It has taken me about 4 years to build this system. The theater is in it's own dedicated room. The sound and video is incredible. Still unsure if I want to mess with room treatments. Might dump the x-250 and get the x-600's. Not that the x-250 sucks. Any comments would be appreciated.
your're right scott, if i had seen an echobuster before i bought them i would have built my own they are overpriced from a cost vs. price standpoint. good luck.
My initial set-up was all Martin logan until I went to the Wilson's. That was a concern of mine, but my Home Theater tech guy said it wouldn't be a problem. He was right. The Logan has no problem keeping up with the Wilson's. It's a great match to tell you the truth. I get the clarity of the Logan and the punch of the Wilson's.
About the room treatments? I think I might try some DIY's. I've looked at alot of them and they are very expensive for what they are made out of.
from my experience, room treatments are very worthwhile. have you measured the frequency response of your room? for me, they make a huge difference in clarity especially in the bass. i may be warped but i like the way they look also. i'm using echobusters and asc tube and sub traps. going to build some echobuster clones soon. before i bought the sound treatments, i experimented using pillows, couch cushions, rolls of foam and other things lying around the house to see if i would notice anything. why do you want to change amps?
