    • Arcam DV137
Arcam's latest DVD player and first universal player. It incorporates not only a host of new features, but also picture and sound quality that will impress even the most demanding enthusiast and that challenges competitors at far higher price points.
    • Spendor S53
The Spendor S5e is the ideal solution for everyone who demands superb sound from an extremely compact discrete floor standing loudspeaker. The S5e has two individual 140mm Spendor drive units. One driver handles the delicate midrange and upper bass. The second bass unit handles the very low frequencies and it is engineered to match the 3D linear flow port. The result is a small loudspeaker which delivers convincing punch and weight and a surprisingly 'big' sound. The Spendor S5e has excellent efficiency and an easy to drive load so you don't need a big powerful amplifier. With our linear flow reflex technology you can even place the cabinet very close to a rear wall and the bass will remain clean and controlled.
    • Spendor C5e Center
Surround sound music and home theatre is destined to feature large in our lives. With Spendor 'S' series loudspeakers the transition from 2 channel stereo to surround sound is truly seamless, just like the sound. The C5e is engineered and balanced from concept to production to complement any combination of Spendor loudspeakers. Our new C5e is a compact centre channel loudspeaker with a big performance. It delivers low distortion, wide even dispersion and fabulous sound even when it is located on or close to shelves, screens, equipment, or walls. The low overall height and modest depth of the C5e makes it perfect when space is at a premium. The clear articulate midrange is never muddled or confused by the bass and the widely dispersed treble ensures you will enjoy an enveloping sound experience free from the hard and un-natural sound of most contemporary loudspeakers.
    • Spendor SR5
The Spendor SR5 is designed for on-wall installation. The slim cabinet is profiled and dimensioned to integrate with a specially developed Spendor 140mm bass-midrange drive unit. The driver has a large powerful motor-magnet system and very low Qe. As a result the SR5 has an optimally flat and correctly damped frequency response. The response is also exceptionally smooth and well-maintained off-axis, very important for surround sound applications especially when the loudspeakers are not at ear height. The SR5 creates a wide deep sound field that allows great flexibility when planning the layout of rooms and seating.
    • Velodyne SPL-1000R
The industry's best selling small subwoofers just got better with the perfect combination of beauty, brains and brawn. We took the original SPL Series II's 1000-watt RMS amps, long throw drivers, and compact, beautiful cabinets and added a 6-band automatic digital room equalizer with included mic, a remote control and full DSP control. The result is a subwoofer that adapts to any room's décor and acoustic anomalies with performance that leaves anything else in its class in the dust.

Nice high end gear for the money layed out. Looks to be a very musical 5.1 system. You show excellent restaint in your purchase, but with few compromises in sound.

I like both Arcam and Spender but have never heard them together. How is the synergy?

Maybe you could sneak the L&R speakers out a little at a time.

I normally spread the fronts apart a good deal for serious listening, and add a little toe in. The S5e's sit in their current position based on my wife's request.

Spendor on the couch. Nice choice in gear. Your system covers all the bases. Do you spead the front speakers further apart when you have time for serious listening? Happy looking and listening.
