This is a secondary system used to watch television and movies. I was constrained by the vintage credenza, so I got the Cayin A-50T for the small space. The Beta Sounds speakers work great with the Cayin's low power and give the room a nice vintage look, feel, and sound. The TV is a bit small, but until I upgrade to HDTV, it is the best form factor for standard definition. Anything larger than 27" starts to show too many artifacts watching a standard definition TV show on the DirecTV set top box. The XBox is tucked away in the cabinet and is a nice option for games and DVD's. I'd love to get a little vintage turntable and put it next to the TV. Maybe that will be next.
The speakers are vintage 1970's speakers made in Dallas, Texas by a company called Beta Sounds. I'm not sure what model number they are, but maybe SST 50. They are similar to Klipsch LaScala on top and Altec Lansing Voice of the Theater (VOT) on the bottom. They have the original T-35 tweeter, Atlas PD-5VH horns, and 12" woofers. They were restored by a local Dallas audiophile with new ALK universal design crossovers and completely new rewiring. They work great with home theater, since they excel in the mid-range.
Although not the latest technology, the picture quality is good on standard definition and 480p, so there has been no urgency to upgrade to HDTV or a high-end DVD player.
Microsoft XBox 360
Use this as my DVD player. It also streams photos and music from my server in the other room, but I don't use the feature very much.

Logitech Harmony 890
Smart remote, with rf extender for the cabinet. I love this remote. The Logitech database even includes the Cayin amp.
