this is my fist real home theater befor this i just had a home theater in a box. Iam still refining it and am thinking of changeing power cables and speaker cables suggestions would be appreciated. Iam also considering AC power conditioners. this system sounds good for two channel but could deffinitly sound better with some minnor tweeks I think. I just sent my ASW CDM in to B&W to be serviced some thing sounded loose they said they would take care of it. Movies are awsome with the Sharp projector the only other real competitor was the Marantz VP-12s3 with the extra long throw lense that i would need it would have been an extra $2500.
Killer Reciever, great quality two channel sound...pure and simple. since I watch a movie or two a week and listen to music this was the all in one unit for me. Plenty of power, easy to operate and a straight forward set-up.

i have the firehawk 100" and its awsome my room gets dark at night so its not a problem but for my xbox i usally put it into medium for some reason that can get dark. But for HD and movies high contrast is beautiful
What size firehawk are you using. I just picked up a sharp 12K and am being told that a firehawk will be too dim if I use the high contrast mode. Is that correct? Do you wish you had a higher gain screen? At night, I dont want to have to use high briteness if I get the firehawk. Any thoughts?
You might look into vhaudio.com for very nice low cost power cords. I cannot adequately describe the bennefits to my system that I acheived by cleaning up the a/c. (My system is posted under user name jkmw). Most recently I have constructed and added 3 neutral to ground capacitive filters. I believe this does wonders for any digital source and/or processing, (thanks to David Magnan's diy ac tweeks)
Don't let anyone fool you. Line conditioners clean up the noise in AC that affects picture and sound. Powercords do the same thing to a lesser extent. Both good speaker wires and power cords allow all the current to flow unrestricted while taming EMI/RF interference.
Thank you for your response im going to audition several cables cables like Kubala-Sosna Emotion and Expression also Analysis Plus Solo Crystal Oval 8 so if your right that cables dont make a difference ill tell you. If anyone else knows of cables like these that could help my system that would be appreciated.
From what I have learned that speaker cables and power cables don't really make a difference. It is much better to put that money into electronics or most importantly speakers.
