i really like the 2910, setup was easy and the picture is amazing. big fan of the panamax also. im not sure how much it helped the sound and i don't think that it really helped the picture at all, but it did seem to take away the little bit of 60hz hum that i had during silence. but i do know that longevity of electronics is definitally helped with having a constant input voltage and the panamax also has really nice protection built into it.
Nice rig. How do you like your 2910? I have a lesser Denon and am not really impressed with the video. And a dealer told me even their higher ends aren't strong in this area. But I would like to know first hand because I am looking to upgrade. Also, how about your Panamax? Does it really make a difference in audio and video? I've been looking hard at the same model. Thanks.
in those pictures i am using wasatch cable (i think the lc510) only because i didn't want to cut the roll of audioquest cv-4 that i have. i think in the new house im going to use the cv-4 for all 5 speakers
Sony TC-K690 was produced in the early 90s, probably around 1992. It was the top-of-the-regular-line Sony deck at the time. I have a mint condition TC-K670 from 1991, which was the direct predecessor of your T-690, and I agree these are excellent decks.
