The XA75, XA55 and SR30 are current Snell speakers. Nice surround system for $7,000. The Polk SDA speakers never fail to suprise me with their "soundstage". It has to be experenced to be believed!! The Carver C-9 helps regular speaker to achieve the same thing but veils the sound. I love the TIVO!! The Adcom amps are used in the surround system. The 5800 is a nice piece. Nelson Pass designed. So is the Adcom 565 pre. The Sony 7000 is a well known high-end CD Transport. The Sony XBR does Blacks right so other colors look "right" too.I dont use the sub very often. The XA75's have powered subs and I find that is plenty for me in my current small 12x16 room. The Stax is a nice piece to own. I bought the Adcom 555II amp, 565 preamp, 600 DAC, Polk SDA 1 speakers and Audioquest Crystal bi-wire for $875($4,500 new). That would have been a nice system in its self! I wonder what the Soundlab A1 sounds likes. I have a pair of speakers custom made by the inventer of the DiAural Crossover, Mr. Alexander. Scan-Speak 7"woofer and Seas silk tweeter with one and a half cabnet with WBT connectors on back! Took it down to the local high end dealer. He used to work for Theil. Said they sounded like $3,500 speakers to him. He couldnt believe I only gave $700 including shipping for them. These speaker dont compress as the volumn goes up. Stays clean sounding. Go to www.edgeaudio.com to read reviews on this crossover. The ones I have are Killer speakers!! They look like the speaker that Ray Kimber took to the NY Audio Show in '99. Well, its 11:30 and I got up before 5 this morning so I got to go. I'm 55 and bought my first stereo in S.E. Asia in '66. Most impressive sound I ever heard was in '74, a pair of Maggies w/ a sub in a very large room. Good night my audio friends.
