Always a work in progress, I replaced my Thiel CS3.6 several years ago with B&W Signature 805. This led to more desire to improve my 2 channel listening so I picked up Classe SSP-75 for its fantastic 2 channel circuitry and sold all the Parasound I was using for A/V.
Of course led to cable upgrade so traded all the Straightwire Maestro for their Serenade and added balanced interconnects.
Sub was Definitive Supercube II but I wanted B&W base so picked up ASW750 and I must say it’s quite a nice clean detailed system
System edited: New pix ! Introduced the Monster Power HTS5100 , & re-introduced the CDC-1500 into the system after a factory service to bring back up to spec. Had to do alot of re-arranging in the cabinet, hope you all enjoy.

Mike, thanks for looking & for your response ! The system has been quite a challenge, I had been using M&K S2B up front w/ S3B in rear with Parasound HCA1205A powering the system & have always been a Thiel 3.6 lover. A few years ago I decided they were just probably out of my reach so in all my searching I bought Vandersteen 2CE Signatures and was very pleased, but finally I almost fell into my Thiels, thankfully because then the upgrades ran wild. All new cables ( speaker & interconnect = dig co-ax ) still not what I knew they sounded like, then CA300 for power, then power cord, now I am buying the power conditioner this week. My good deal on the Thiels is still costing me money but I have found if you are willing to give them all they need to turn the current into music they are as incredible as I remembered, but any weak link in your system they let you know. I appreciate the suggestion on my cabinet, it was a quick solution for my system we had a wide screen and 3 pc wall unit but the Thiels & Plasma came at the same time & major changes had to be made quickly! We originally bought a beautiful Bello and upon measuring when we got home & also looking at all the wires I had to hide we decided no way. I will definately look into other shelves & if I am successful I will reply again as to difference. Classe CDP10 is a definate option. Thanks Again
If you are looking to focus on high end 2 channel I would consider a dedicated single disc cdp. I like the Cary cd-308 but if you like Classe a used cd-10 can't be beat. Keep your dvd a seperate unit.
I like the artistic layout of your gear. You will be amazed at sound improvement by replacing the particle board shelves in your nice looking rack with tempered glass, marble, or corian.
System edited: When all is done I hope to use remaining 2 channels of HCA1205A to power zone for the garage, and as I sell PSP1500, PDD1500, & DAC1000 I will replace with Classe stated earlier, then the Thiel center channel. So far very detailed & solid 2 channel performance, & powerful video !!
