Hos is the Telefunken smooth plate sound those 12AX7 I was thinking about those as well...
How is the RS-212D? That is a nice one, I like that style, great looking device. Any comparison to the static Ortofon arm? No complains :)?

We talked a little on a post of mine regarding the Solovox.

Hypothetically I wonder what the Tannoy and Monbrison would sound like matched with one of the Shindo amps.

From comments I gather you moved from Merlins to the Kensingtons? As a Merlin owner I have the same question as a previous poster, but I'll be more specific: what were you looking for in your new speaker, something less resolving, more mid range, etc.?

Also you mentioned in a follow up to me that the Kensingtons are not sensitive to placement. Do you have them fairly close to the wall?

Great system, welcome to the Tannoy club. I built some custom enclosures and custom designed and built crossovers for my HPD 315's, thirty-five year old 12" Dual Concentrics. Just love 'em. The new Prestige line must sound superb, especially with Shindo electronics.

Obviously an exceptional system, Aronsss. Where do you get spares for your Monbrison? That one tube set (shown in the window) seems unobtainable. I'm considering either the Auriges or the Monbrison.

How big of a difference was the heavy platter addition to the spacedeck? The Nottingham is the TT i aspire to and was curious if it is worth getting the thicker platter at time of purchase. Any details and opinions on cartridge selections would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Justin

Is the Briarwood Beige pearl metallic on the Merlin speakers a custom finish from Bobby? It would be kinda neat to see a picture of it... :)
