Jfrech,
Thanks. It was a very hard decision to keep the woodwork. 1)It's not good acoustically.
2)It costed $12K to repair. Insurance covered this particular item, but I could've used the money on repairs that wasn't covered. My payout was only about 70%.

Ultimately, I felt I was willing to give up some sound quality/acoustics for the beauty. Also I felt bad to just throw out $35K worth of work.

I spent the night of Sandy in the Hilton Times Sq. I know that was a tough storm..sorry to hear about your system. Just love the woodworking in your room !

System edited: My system was destroyed in Sandy. Started the rebuild. Still have to get surrounds & 2 channel amp for them. Also thinking of replacing my EQ with Direc Live.

Wow, Very Nice room - I Love Sonus Faber's and krell - the room is also very classy - one comment if I may - If you have the Showcase Power plugged into the monster you are probably chocking your power - I mad that mistake early on - krell hates power limiting conditioners - I picked up a shunyata Hydra 2 and WOW Drastic Change - Full bodied transparency instead of compression - Good luck

Thanks - great pics and great room - I think this is one of the most tasteful rooms I have seen - well done. Good gear to - of course!

The DVD player is only used as a transport since it has both a DVI and SPID/IF output. The Krell will take care of all of it. Nice way to save money. I like the player! One of the first with a DVI out yeah? The marantz should make some magis with the V Inc., even with it's rediculous price tag. I love your system, I just had a lengthy audition of the Cremona and am higly considering spending way more money than I have to pick up a pair, and eventually develop an ALL Sumiko surround system.

Good Listening,
Patrick

Allow time for speaker break-in. I don't know about the other gear (literally) but those speakers are awesome.

Very respectable, Enjoy!

My $200 DVD player got the best scores of all the players tested in Hometheaterhifi.com testing. So don't judge a player by its price.

joew

whoah. A 200 dvd player for that beast of a system? I hope that's a typo or that you've found the deal of the millenium on the dvd player. Anyways, great lookin system. Cremonas are my favorite speaker in terms of appearance.

I just ordered the gear today. The dealer told me since I wanted the graphite Cremonas I would have to wait until labor day. When it is complete I will post pictures.

Would you include some pictures?
