This is a system that i have been working on for about 6 years. Moving pieces of equipment around buying and selling you name it. Now i have put together what i think is a system that is real hard to beat for the money. I have had systems that were upward of $30,000 that did not sound even close as good as this system does. This is an example that one does not need to spend a ton of money on a system to sound great. I look at some of these systems here on audiogon and think to myself i was one of those people that spent a ton of money on his system and did't get that sound he is looking for. I had a PA-7 back in the late 90's. I thought it was an excellent sounding amp. I amp a big fan of Nelson Pass solid state and own his current amps now.
Thanks Bojack. I have been putting this system together for a long time. It took alot of time and trial and error to come to what I think is a killer system. You stated you are interested in the Tyler Acoustic MM5's. I would say to you, "go buy them"!!! they are the best pair of speakers I have owned so far. This is a list of speakers I have owned in the last 5 years. Vandersteen 3a signatures, Zu Audio Omen Def, Audio Physic Tempo VI, Klipsch cornwall III, B$w 703, Celestion DL10, Tannoy S10, Paradigm signature s4. Great system! Some months ago I dropped by a local retailer and listened to a system of big name components totaling $50,000.00 and thought to myself that the system I have at home sounds as good, and makes more bass! I agree that experience, knowledge, and patience are more important than money. However money is nice if you've got it!
