With the time delay capabilities of the processor, it is easy to dial them in in the time domain. The built in crossovers work well and are easy to adjust in small amounts. This lets blend them seamlessly (by ear) to the Zu's. Thanks for the comments!

System edited: Added a Transcendent Sound T16 OTL amp. Moved the room to a 40 degree corner placement. Added ATS rockwool 4 inch bass traps and 2 inch wall panels.

how well do your rythmiks integrate?

i am considering a pair of their 15 inch signatures w/ class a/b amplifier.

i understand they are down firing for concrete floors.

Last weekend I went with some friends to listen to a system with GedLee Abby 12's driven by some huge Atma-Sphere OTL mono-blocks. I really liked the sound of the OTL amps and so ordered a Transcendent Sound T16 OTL kit. Also, a Metric Halo LIO-8 is on the way to replace the RDC-7, and some 4" thick rigid fiberglass panels to use as bass traps in the corners.

These Soul's have a very deep and wide soundstage and are easy to listen to when you find the right spot. I've moved them around quite a bit to find said spot. You can toe them in and get pinpoint imaging, or aim behind you for a more open stage (which I prefer.) My favorite thing about these Soul's is that they sound very dynamic at both low and high volume and portray tone in a way that my previous planar speakers were lacking and while Zu's may not image like a planer with that larger than life soundstage, to me the trade-offs are worth it.

My front-end is very simple but very good. I've spoke to several people about the amp and Zu combination and was told that it would be a great match.
I'm actualy interested in the Essence. I know it's the redheaded step child in the Zu line. But since I've never heard there speakers I wont know what I'm missing.

The Essence sells used here on AG but I suspect the Superfly will be awhile before theres a used market.

Is the soundstage large and do they image well.
I'm into imaging quite abit.

Thanks Zman, I have listened to those MA speakers and like the way they sound - so you might be happy with Zu but Zu seems to be a more revealing speaker. I'm finding that these speakers are very sensitive to what's in the front-end of the audio chain. Changes in DAC, Preamp, and Amps make dramatic differences in overall sound quality. A friend brought over a Weiss DAC2 and of course it sounded fantastic. But I think I've found a good harmony of components for what I can afford and I'm enjoying listening :)

I like your set up very much.
I'm really looking hard at the Zu Essence speaker.
Right now I have Monitor Audio RS6's and will upgrade to a used pair of Essence. I also like the Superfly but it looks as though it will be awhile before they sell used on AG.
Again, it looks good and I know it sounds good.
