I dig your set up.  I also have the Concertinos and I love them.  Also a Grado fan.  Thanks!

Well hey if you ever decide to go 100% analog just say the word and I will haul that SCD-1 away at no charge!

The Cary is very well matched with Sonus Concertinos... it doesn't overdrive them. Although sometimes I would like it to play louder. The system has a wide soundstage and good depth, the highs are natural and the mids/low end is warm. Not much bass, as you might imagine. 99% of my listening is vinyl, I really don't know why I even have the CD player... I never use it. I even went back to cassettes in my vehicle... and they sound great!

Mark,

I am probably the wrong guy to ask. The best answer I can give is ... it's heavy, it's built well and it plays CDs.
But, the CDs still sound like CDs.

Great system. How do you like the Cary/Sonus combination? It seems like the Cary would be overkill for the little Sonus' or are they well matched? If you have more pics of your setup to post (& free time to post them) I'd love to see how you put it all together.

I am not sure I would call it "Budget" but it looks like a nice system. How do you like the SCD-1?
