Components Toggle details

    • Technics SP-10 mkII
Nice for the price, what ever you may pay.
    • Rega RB-300 Re-wired
Silver rewired with Cardas clips, smooth sound and detail. Using a Mitchell VTA also, not on the fly but good enough if you plan to set and forget.
    • Audio-Technica USA AT-0C9 MLII
Excellent detail, a little analytical but very nice and can't be beat for the price.
    • Musical Surroundings Phonomena
A very flexible phono pre-amp that can match any cartridge. Maybe not the very best in phono sections but can't be beat at used prices.
    • Endler Audio 5 Input Passive
Silver wired, 5 input passive pre-amp with 24 step silver wired stepped attenuator. Exceptional detail and clarity if you can go passive.
    • First Watt Clone F3
Just enough power for a 97db horn. Sweet sounding low distortion amp paired with the 846b makes for a truly amazing sound for jazz, most rock and classical.
    • Altec Lansing 846b
Found second hand for a good price
    • Supra Ply 3.4
Great sounding cable at the most I'd pay per foot
    • DIY DNM Eichmann Bullet
Solid core, low mass, detailed and musical. If you are in a low RF environment get yourself some

You made some really nice choices with this system (SP10, Valencias). Congrats! How does the F3 play with the Valencias? Is there a nice dynamic and energetic sound or is it laid back? I'm thinking about trying a F3.

I have Model 19s and Valencias with a couple SETs.

Hi there

Seems like a great system you have there. Two items I am intimately familiar with is the SP-10 mkII and the RB300! Your plinth even looks more-or-less just like mine.

Have fun!

Thanks. Pictures are now posted. Really getting a kick out of listening to it. I have had a long strange trip w/ audio and now getting to a happy place between hype and price. I'll always want a little more, but not too much at once.

I like your idea...create an inexpensive system and pour the money into other hobbies...if only we had infinite $$ and time on our hands ;)

Congrats on getting the system together!
