Description

I'm very happy with this system. Next step might be a DAC. Very smooth sounding, rock solid bass, and awesome imaging.

1/2007 got sony modded by SACDMods.com. Money well spent in my opinion. I seem to have gained alot of minute detail.

2/2007 added some diy acoustic panels. WOW! what a difference. The system sounds entirely different. Seriously among the best I've ever heard!

Nice system - you've got a pretty interesting mix there!

I'm actually about to try out a set of arros and was wondering how they integrate with a sub and see you've got them setup with one. I love a huge soundstage and all that, but am a bit concerned the arros may never have that realistic impact and weight, even with a sub. Anyway, enjoy the system and if you have any tips for getting good bass performance out of the arros I'd appreciate hearing them.

System edited: Added new DIY panels. Dollar for dollar the best improvement I've made to date. I really could go on about these, but if you have any questions, just ask...

I really like the Bel Canto. I actually bought it without hearing it first. There is very little hi end audio to audition in my area. I think that the weakest link in my system is the sony. I think that the Bel Canto brings out alot of detail. Now I'd like to get more detail out of the Sony.

how do you like the bel canto amp so far? what alternatives would you consider?

I've had good luck with EAD dac's you might want to try an Adcom GDC 700, I think that's the model #. Good sound an can be found $. Looks like a good start.
