I put together another lower priced system in my Florida room so I could let my wife set in the living room and watch her cooking or strangers with candy shows. So I purchased a Outlaw Audio RR2150 receiver, not a bad receiver at all, almost on par with the NAD but not quite. Also needed a new DVD player so I added the Oppo 970 and all I can say is WOW! A great universal player for both music and video, super high quality for music since I have alot of HDCD's and it plays them as well as SACD's and the video is awesome... I've had a JVC 5 disc player for years that sounds great and still works like new. I also use my VCR sometimes for those hard to find videos. I also use a Hughes SRS sound retriever instead of surround for both music and movies. It's one of the best components I've ever purchased, it really opens up music and movie sound tracks. After reviewing the Monitor Audio Silver RS 6 speakers I bought a pair and they are wonderful! I added a Athena AS-P Subwoofer for movies and it works good with the Outlaw receiver. The subwoofer has a direct input so I can use the Outlaw bass management setup. The direct bypasses the internal crossover as well as the volume control on the sub and matches the volume to the monitor audios. So all in all a pretty good system when I can't be in the livin room. I love the Olevia 32" HD LCD T.V. as well since it was on sale for $679.00 and now it's on sale for $599.00 and the reviews on the picture were outstanding.
